How to keep wine cold at tables?

We are having a very DIY reception and plan on putting a bottle of white wine and a bottle of red wine at each table for the toast. (FI and I both hate champagne)

A couple questions:
How do we keep the wine cold at the tables? We'll keep them in the refrigerator until just before the receptino starts and we'll have someone set them out. I want something inexpensive and not too bulky.

Do we have the bottles decorked and then put stoppers in or just have openers at the tables or have someone go through and open them before the toast?

I'm so very confused. At my sister's wedding, step mom and her husband's mom went through and poured the wine for everyone. I don't want them to have to work on that day.

Any thoughts?

The wine will be fine. Open it before the reception, gently put the cork back in and people will just serve themselves. It would be impossible to keep it the correct temp thoughout a long reception. We had wine at our bar, and the bartenders just placed the wine bottles on a table for guests to choose which one they wanted..... they were not kept chilled, no one complained.

Wine buckets are an easy way to keep things cold. I use to work at a wedding venue and saw some people do cute things with it. EX: Wine in punch bowls of ice, cute decorated trash cans (I know this sounds weird but it worked for their wedding style) and wine bottle covers can help keep things the right temp too. Honestly the wine will be fine out on the tables. Most of the time people will drink it before it hits a temp that is too warm.

It's not really a DIY-thing but I thought this idea was lovely if you want to keep you wine cooled. And if you pick one from the normal range, not the design one, they're inexpensive as well. I've seen someone use them as a favor, who got them for 1 dollar each. http://www.icebag.com/

Most red wines should be served room temperature, so  no worries there. You could even set out de-corked bottles of red wine earlier in the day with the rest of the decor. I think it's fine to just chill the white wine and elect a few family volunteers to put them out on the tables before guests start to enter. Or, perhaps the wait staff can present a bottle of white wine to eat table.

For both types of wine, you can de-cork them earlier in the day, then just gently place the cork back. It would be way too messy for guests to try and take the cork out at the table. And guests can serve themselves...I think it's weird to have family members serve other guests. They should enjoy the reception.
