Hi everyone! I met with a cake baker this weekend and she brought up and possible issue with the cake I want, which is a 3-tier columned cake with buttercream frosting. (See Pic) The issue is that all the columns she showed me are bright, white-out white and the buttercream is like an ivory shade. She said that she could cover the columns in fondant to match the color of the buttercream, but will that look tacky? I've looked all over the internets but I can't find off-white/ivory/cream columns anywhere, does anyone know where I could find some? Also, has anyone had a cake like this? What did you do? Thanks so much in advance! I really appreciate it.
