Taco Bar Poll

We are doing a taco bar for our backyard wedding -  We are looking at a little under 50 people attending, and I want to give them options.  Can you please tell me which of the following "fillings" you would pick for your taco?

I would do beef, chicken, and then all the taco style fillings: beans, onions, rice, tomatos, cheese, salsa, guacamole, refried beans,lettuce, etc.

Not sure what vegetarian filling you would have, I would just think they wouldn't choose the meat and fill with the other things. I personally hate sweet & spicy pork but I can see why others would enjoy it.

So without voting, that is my vote.

I'd do all of them if you can.  If you must cut something I'd cut the pork.  I am not sure what you'd use for vegetarians that isn't covered by your other stuff: beans, refried beans, guacamole, etc.

I voted for the vegetarian option, because I am one. BUT I wouldn't waste your money on a vegetarian soy protein meat filler for the tacos, I personally just fill tacos with refried beans or black beans. So if you are going to have those items on your taco bar then I think you will be good to go for any vegetarian guest. I really like the taco bar idea by the way, I LOVE when weddings I attend have them since they ALWAYS have something I can actually eat!

I love carnitas tacos, so I voted for pork.  If they were small tortillas, though, I would probably do more than one and try different kinds.

I'm gessing vegetarians would mostly use black beans as a filling, but I've seen mushroom tacos before and they looked delicious, so that could be an option.

I'd choose any of those meats :-) Now I want tacos lol.

Anyway, having a few different kinds of cheese, beans (black and pinto), grilled peppers, grilled onions, guacamole, salsa and any other standard taco topping would be awesome.

Make sure you have both spicy and non-spicy options. I know plenty of people who love their tacos nuclear, but others are wusses like me who can hardly handle salsa. And be sure they're marked as such!

Ditto others. I'm a vegetarian but I've always been able to cobble together a meal, especially at taco-bar-like events. I LOVE tacos. I ususally just do beans, veggies, salsa, guac, maybe rice. Just make sure the beans are vegetarian (refried beans or pinto beans are sometimes make with pork).

Just make sure that for your vegetarian friends that the beans are vegetarian or fat free, as refried beans are cooked with lard--FYI.

i think this is a great idea. Thanks to this place I have decided and convinched my fiance that burgers are the way to go, with vegeterian options of course. I think tacos are so fun.
