Lost in Paris

Hi, my wedding theme is Vintage Paris, Black, White & Green. However my wedding date is Cinco De Mayo due to the only date the venue was available. Since I had to compromise on the date I don't want to compromising on the theme so our original idea was to have French/Italian food at the reception, however now I think I should embrace the holiday and have Mexican food. Does anyone think this will cheapen my Paris theme or take away from the wedding by having mexican food?

Serve the food you want. No one will pay any attention to the fact it does not "jive" with Cinco de Mayo. Black & white is a classic color scheme (I used it). Have the classic food you want.

To explain: People who get married on Valentine's Day probably don't all choose red as their primary color.

It's your wedding, do what you want.

You're celebrating your wedding, not cinco de may, you should organise your wedding the way you want it. If you want Paris, then Paris it is :). Trust me, people won't find this strange at all!
