I really want to serve pizza and chicken wings at the reception is this tacky?

I would judge that, definitely. Even if the wedding is ultra casual, I think you should at least do some kind of BBQ or something.

I would only think it was okay if it was like a "midnight snack" after being served a proper meal or if it was alongside a lot of other things (ie., the pizza thing wouldn't surprise me alongside a traditional Italian buffet with pastas, salad, etc.)

But if it was just a pizza and wings reception I'd feel a little jipped; especially if it was in the evening and I was dressed up.

But that being said, I love pizza and wings.

If the pizza and wings were good I would love it. I don't judge food choices as long as there is enough food and it tastes great. I would prefer that to things like a cash bar, or when there is not enough food or someone who chooses not to serve a meal at all. (i like to be fed at a wedidng)  I would add to it though, salad, garlic bread, pasta. IT could be part of a great wedding. (certainly more casual)

If my guests judge me for what I choose to serve I hope they let me know so that i remember not to invite them to anything again.
