My future mother-in-law has been working with our venue for almost four months to hammer out an beverage plan. We were told in the beginning that we would be able to negotiate the alcohol, but apparently the venue has since changed their mind. They are trying to charge us the restaurant rate, which we know is heavily marked up (we scouted the actual price of the bottles). We were originally told that a bulk rate would be possible (and other venues in the area do this), but the woman assigned to our wedding won't even return emails and phone calls, let alone give us an answer.
My questions is, how should I proceed? I really don't want to bring out the 'bridezilla,' but my wedding is 3 months away and I need to get this done. The wedding coordinator for the venue won't even honor the appointments that she makes, so I'm fully prepared to go above her head at this point.
