We decided not to do them. I was all set to and then after pricing it out, it was going to be about $200 and that was with us really skimping. Instead, we are probably going to put that money towards our candy bar or something at the reception that everyone can enjoy, not just out of town guests.

I'm doing a tote bag filled with some of FI's and my favorite things, like our favorite candies.  Plus a couple of bottles of water and a little thank you note with suggestions of things to do around the area.  I wanted to add a Virginia Beach-related item and the girls on this board suggested taffy... but I didn't get around to getting some, so I'm just going to stick with what I have.

we used those reusable bags from Papermart (about 70 cents apiece) and filled them with water, juiceboxes for kids, and bought some snacks from Sam's Club (chex mix, animal crackers, etc.) we threw in some pieces of candy and aldo did homemade bags of Virginia Peanuts.  beyond all the food we printed up a welcome note for each bag and included a one sheet with info about the wedding details, any pre-wedding festivities and all the directions etc. for the ceremony & reception.  we finished it off by going to the visitor's center and picked up some VA is for Lovers stickers (free) and brochures for any things in the area that people might want to check out while they were here (also brochures with a downtown map were really helpful)it got a little pricey but was well worth it.

We did the normals - bottled water, trail mix.  But I ordered Jody's Popcorn (it's made in Va Beach) in my wedding colors. Our OOT guests raved about it!
