Roanoke Wedding-Help needed!

Any suggestions for locations, caterers, makeup artists? I am just starting and have no idea where to start so any help would be great!

Hotel Roanoke for the location would be great. It's GORGEOUS!! Also, look up Lindsay Schaffer. She's a photographer based out of Roanoke; she does beautiful work and charges very reasonably.http://lschafferphotography.com/Of course...if I was getting married in Roanoke, I'd keep it small and get married at night underneath the Mill Mountain Star. :-D

Blue Ridge Catering seems absolutely awesome. I am having my reception at the salem civic center in the community room. It is absolutely beautiful and they are knocking off the entire $700 room fee because I am having 100 guests for dinner. There are lots of great places to have a reception. What type of venue are you looking for? A completely different place is a historical house in Fincastle, called Santillane. Also, someone  I ran into is having theirs at the Taubman Museum of Art and I think that is absolutely gorgeous as well. I have lots of suggestions but just am not sure what you'd like. Good luck!

We are having ours at The Woodland Place in Vinton (wonderful place). Getting it catered by a place called Higher Ground, they are actually located at SML.We looked at Boxtree in Vinton and had it booked but then backed out. It is an AWESOME place. I kind of regret backing out.We looked at Santillane as well in Fincastle. Wonderful place and wonderful people to work with. My photographer is Michael Sink. He is wonderful!!

I am having our reception at Roanoke Country Club. Beautiful building and grounds. several room choices, as well as entire clubhouse.  I looked at several places in the area (which were all nice) but decided on the country club due to it's beautful architecture and grounds. Plus Jessa, the event manager is great!
