Long or circular tables?

What are your thoughts on having long vs. circular tables?  In your opinion, what are the advantages/disadvantages?  My reception will be held at the Filter Building and we are most likely going to have a buffet/stations dinner.  Thanks for your input!

I kind of like the look of long tables, but it sort of limits the socializing, I would think.

I think circular presents a more open look.

I really like the look of the rectangular tables, and it wouldn't be as costly in terms of table decor/flower centerpieces. We had round tables of 6, which really increased our floral cost since we wanted centerpieces on each table. If you have a lot of space to fill, I think it would help from having lots of random open extra space.

I like circular better for conversational reasons.  Example:  Just a few weeks ago, at Father's Day lunch, I didn't really get to visit with my dad because he was sitting on the same side of the table as me and my uncle's family sat opposite us.  I still had a good time but I didn't get to talk to my dad a whole lot.

I agree with the circular tables.  If you're at a long table, you can only talk to about 4 other people, but at a circular table, you can talk to everyone at your table.

I like circular tables. That way guests can talk and socialize with eachother at the tables.
