I feel like a B----

So FI just called me to say his family can't get into our hotel anymore cause it's sold out. On the invites I put they'd be held til 12/31 in the block (the hotel really has them til next Wednesday, but I wanted to create a sense of urgency.)

Well of course with it being V-Day weekend, they only have Friday night left open and it's not in a suite, just a double room. While FI is upset that this is the case I seriously wanted to yell at him "what did you expect? people should know better than to wait til the last effing minute"

So now I am trying to pacify people who can't take care of their crap, and find another hotel to maybe block of a few rooms for...

Yeah you know the Magnolia does specials all the time too--I always get their emails.

You snooze, you lose, I say.  But I've been married for 2 years, ha!

My sentiments EXACTLY. I e-mailed my family and told them to take it to Hotwire.com if they don't have anything yet.

I'm sorry I had something similar, and I stressed about it and got secondary hotel blocks and all kinds of backup measures ... and then nobody ended up needing them anyway.

I think you're being awfully nice just to give them the names of the hotels that are closest to your venue, and even nicer if you do manage to get a couple rooms blocked at a discounted rate at one of them.

Nevermind, just saw. What about the Aloft hotel. It looks like it isn't too far and I've heard good things. Although on second thoughts why are you taking care of this? Maybe your Fiance should start calling and book some rooms. Hahahaha. Boys.

I got the master room list from my hotel gal today; I just told FI to be sure and reach out to his family who aren't on the list to see a.) if they are coming, and b.) if they secured a room elsewhere. It's out of my hands at this point, I refuse to go Bridezilla over someone else putting things off.

Let them deal with it themselves. I agree you snooze you loose. I have no tolerance for procrastination. I wouldn't worry about it.
