Searching for a hair stylist in Roanoke

I am not from the area, and need to find a stylist to do my hair for the wedding. I had thought about using the salon in Hotel Roanoke since thats where we are staying. That was until I found out it would be $100 for a consultation and another $100 for the day of wedding.

Anybody have any suggestions??

    Some girls have mentioned that they like Onyx Salon on Apperson Drive in Roanoke. One knottie said that she would give Les Cheaveux salon (sp?) at Towers Mall in Roanoke an A+ for their work. Good luck!

    I had my hair and makeup done at St. Pierre salon in Salem.  They did a FANTASTIC job on both.  Although I don't know how much it was because my step-mom gratiously paid for it.  You could give them a call.  Onyx is also another good one.  I went to high school with the girl that owns it and she is great!
