spring wedding flowers/cake question

Hey!
Does anyone have any suggestions for florists and cake bakers?  We are planning on a budget, but don't want budget looking cake or flowers.  What are good prices for flowers? And preferred vendors?  Also, does anyone have good ideas of hotels for out of town guests?

    I am ordering Hydrangeas from either Sams Club or Bj's and will be assembling them myself. They are extremely reasonable. I've read many many reviews and everyone who followed the directions seemed to be happy with them. They have many many other types of flowers. So if its something your interested in check it out!

    What part of Virginia are you looking in? People posting on here are from all over so you'll end up with answers for NoVa, Va Beach and western VA unless you specify where you're looking.

    Dreama's suggestion would work though since I'm sure there are Sam's Clubs near almost everyone!

    I am doing the DIY route also. I am ordering mine from costco and arranging them with the help of my wedding party. I think I makes it more personal too, because you created it ..

    I'm looking in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area.  I'm not very crafty, so I am looking for a florist to do the bouquets.  Anyone know of avg prices for bouquets?  Any favorite bakers?
