Brutal Honest Please - STD layout

I am working on the STD layout while I wait for Stina to get our pics finished.  This is what I have come up with so far... (Pics will be in the top 3 frames)

I need honest opinions which I know you will give :P (brutally honest is fine..)

I really like the font and the colors.  My criticism (and it totally has to be the accountant in me--everything balanced) is the date overlapping the word Date.  The margin on the top is greater than that on the bottom.  I like how you have "the" written--it just looks at first glance like you kind of ran out of room.  IMHO.

I agree! But what's funny is I'm an accountant too! I really like it but those things did throw me off just a little!

What type of theme, ect.. are you having for the wedding? The font to me seems really light and fun, so if you are planning an elaborate or "fancy" wedding then I may change the fonts to reflect the feeling of your wedding. But thats just me, an interior designer, so I'm style conscious.

For the Save the Dates, we wanted to have a little more fun with it.  The reception is going to have more of a "carnival" feel since its so late in the evening.  We are having all action stations - Sliders, Tostada bar, French Fry martinies, etc :P

I love the modifications, I think it looks great! I agree, you can be fun with your STDs.. mine were WAYYYYY more fun and loud than my invites.

I agree the spacing looks better.

Would also suggest two things... try this out just to see how it looks.

1. Make all the white picture box lines black... the card will look a little less busy. Or alternately try them in green to balance out the green text.
2. Make the picture boxes a little shorter, more square. Only suggesting this so you can move everything else a bit up a bit, because your name is really close to the edge and in possible danger of being cut off, or right on the edge of the card, when they are printed by the printer.

And I know some people weren't crazy about the overlapping 'the' but I think it looks cute.
