NWR: Venue Question

This is not specifically for a wedding but it is for a big event my sister has decided she wants to do a Huge Red Carpet/V.i.p themed event for her 18th Birthday! So we are looking for venues that you can just rent out, that will allow you to have a DJ and bring food and things like that, Preferably in the North (North Dallas, Plano, Carrollton, Addison.)

I figured it could not hurt to ask you ladies. Thanks in advance for any suggestions that can be made.

    Im not sure about the budget..the last thing I needed was more budget numbers in my head lol, however im sure she does not want to go pass 1500 becasue this will pretty much just be for the rental and maybe tables and chairs if they are included but even anything way under that will be fine as well, just trying to help them out a little.

    On that budget, I'd try some community centers. Some are really pretty, but because they're cheap, they book fast.

    Yea I believe a Community room will be best. I rented one for my daughters 10th bday party and it was 50hr. Huge Room in Lewisville.

    Here it is. They also have other places you can rent as well.. The community room will be great for a dance party. My daughter had a disco party and it was perfect and spacious.

    Maybe the Granville Arts Center in Garland? 
    We always had out band banquets there.
