XP - VA name change/order Q's

I live in VA and am starting to get all the name-change papers in order (so it doesn't take me forever after the ceremony).

Some people say do SS card first, then driver's license - others say it backwards....and I can't find anything specific giving me the "right order"

So - if you are/have changed your name in VA, can you please give me your list/order of what you did???

    I did my SS card and my license, in that order, on the same day with a copy of my marriage license in hand.  It took me less than 2 hours.  This was in the city of Virginia Beach and I got to the SS office as soon as it opened.  It was busy, but I was in and out in no time.

    awesome - thanks - so I only need 1 copy of the marriage licence?  I thought someone said you needed multiple copies....


    I know nothing... :-p  I'm just doing research at this point

    One official copy is all you need.  When you pick it up at the courthouse, they will notarize it for you.  Multiple copies shouldn't be necessary.
