Hampton Roads vendor reviews

We had an intimate ceremony and reception at the Town Point Club in Downtown Norfolk on November 11, 2011.  We sent 25 invitations and 30 guests attended.  We had everything in one room at the club.  If I was able to do this again, I would do it the exact same way.

Venue: The Town Point Club.  http://www.clubcorp.com/Clubs/Town-Point-Club/Weddings-Events

Abby is the special events director and she is awesome to work with.  The food was fabulous (and there was a ton of it), the staff was all very nice and they did everything from center pieces to place cards.  The room we used has a nice view of the river and a deck to you can really enjoy the view from the cool outdoors.  Our guests raved about it.  (note: It is a private club but we are not members. )

Susan rocked.  The ceremony was very personal and designed specifically for us and it seemed as though she had known us for years.  We meet her for coffee one night and spoke for about 30 minutes.  Again, even our guests spoke of how wonderful she was.

Invitations:  Sharon at Live Love Paper.  http://www.live-love-paper.com/

Sharon has been working with paper for years, but just opened her store on 21st street in Ghent near Baker’s Crust.  She has a ton of books to flip though for ideas.  Our invites were beautiful and we received then in record time.  Her store also has hand-made, gluten-free, chocolates and a selection of vintage gifts.  It’s worth checking out.

Georgia was great to work with and was VERY affordable.  I wasn’t interested in using a photographer (due to the size of our event) and thought that this was one expense we could save on.  But it was important to FI so we looked around.  I am so glad we got pics….this is NOT something that should be skipped.  I didn’t have a list of must take shots and that wasn’t a problem for her.  She was laid back, but had several ideas and FI and I both think that they all came out great.
