HELP!

I am at loss as to how on earth I am going to pull off a nice ceremony/lunch reception without breaking the bank and while still having a nice wedding event that I would be happy remembering... I live in Northern VA, and my idea of a nice wedding is a small ceremony followed by a small lunch for no more than 30 family members. But I can't find anything "small" in Virginia!

Anyone had a similar experience and pulled it off? I am hoping to pay less than 5,000, even if this means cutting down on the # of people!

Thanks,

Wow, moderator moved it before I could finish my response.

I'm having 30 guests for my wedding as well and we are holding the reception in a private dining/meeting room of a restaurant. It might work for you too. We picked a 5-star for 80.00 a person including wine.

I wish there is something in this range, where I live. I have only seen 95$ pp without including drinks or refreshments. It brought me up to 5,000 and then some, only for Food and Beverages in Virginia. Thank you though!

You can look at country clubs and restaurants. If you live near Woodbridge, Montclair Country Club has rooms and near Lessburg the Lightfoot Rest. has rooms upstairs. You can also look at wineries that might have small rooms. I know Potomac Point Winery in Stafford has rooms, but I'm nut sure what their minimum is.
    Good luck!

this didn't work out for me but you definately should check the link below...i had too many people to invite but if you just have 30 and don't mind a short drive to Fredericksburg it's worth a look.  Let me know what you think!

Awe, don't stress. It's possible. Ok, how about a heavy h'oderve lunch reception? Look at venues that let you bring a caterer. You can do this by searching the city/county parks and rec pages for venues.  Also look at doing a bed and breakfast wedding. There are plenty in the area and they can be flexible to help you out.

    Good luck!
