Too much to ask??

I'm buying all of my flowers from one florist: Centerpieces, Bouquets, Boutonnieres, mother of the bride, cake flowers, AND linens etc. So...I'm giving them quite a bit of money. I'm requesting that they set up a time to meet me at my venue with one of my centerpieces made to see what a table with the centerpieces will look like IN the room so I can give it thumbs up, thumbs down, or make adjustments. (My centerpieces are big so I'm thinking I might need to do every other table to incorporate a little feng shui)

I think it might be asking a bit much to have them travel to your venue just to see it on a table. I might see if they could set up a similar table in their store so you can see the size at least.

I've never heard of a florist doing this.  Maybe you could just have them give you dimensions of the centerpieces and pictures of a comparable piece.  Odds are, it will look a bit different by the time your wedding day comes.  Most florists will take what budget you give them and get the flowers in your colors or your most requested flower with other available blooms, depending on what's in season and looks the best.  We worked with Daevid in Norfolk.  He made sure I had the hydrangeas, but I had to give him free reign with other bouquets and flowers, because he couldn't predict what would be prettiest.

Daevid was amazing.  At our first meeting, we spoke for about 15 minutes about my color choices, date, dresses, pictures and ideas etc.  I told him that hyndrangeas were a must for flowers as a tribute to a friend I had lost.  He took me back to his work room and threw together (in no time) a stunning centerpiece that fit my ideas perfectly.

He is quite a talent, very creative and willing to work within your budget.  My bouquets and the reception/ceremony space were stunning thanks to him!
