Your groom present

In saying that, I'm interested to hear what other's are getting their groom's for a day of present.  Or if you are not doing that.

By the time we actually got to our wedding date, our wedding money was pretty much gone.  In addition, we were shopping for homes and ended up closing on our house within the first month of being married.  That being said, we felt poor and didn't exchange physical gifts.  We just got each other cards and each wrote a very personal message to each other.  I really think this was better than anything he could have bought me.  :)

I think that's all we are doing as well...just doing cards.  I'd rather spend the money on something else, such as an extra activity on the honeymoon.

We just wrote cards.  I told DH that I was present enough, lol.  I really enjoyed reading his heartfelt words before going to the ceremony!

In addition to boudoir photos, I got my guy personalized cufflinks, in the form of periodic elements (he's a scientist).  This way I could give him something he could open at the rehearsal dinner.  They were cheap ($15) and he loved them!

I just ordered Sports Illustrated as FI's wedding gift.  I figure I will just renew it every year as a gift to him.  I didn't want to get him something he wouldn't use.  Its not exactly senitmental, but he will enjoy it and that's what I really want out of any gift I give.

For as long as I can remember my FI has said that he would love a pocket watch, not sure why. So that's what I'm getting him.  I purchased it at Things Remembered and had it engraved.  My hope is that he will some day give it to our son or grandson on their wedding day.

Ok, Angel...Tell your friends to get with the program and send their pics.  I can't wait to see pics and hear the vendor reviews! I hope your wedding day went well for you! :)
