We did not have a religious ceremony, so we had all sorts of freedom with the ceremony.  We looked through samples of other vows and together picked what we liked and those were our vows.  We each said the same thing to each other.

Nope, actually since I am Catholic I'm not sure if that is even allowed.

We are also not doing a religious ceremony.  We did the same thing with looking through ideas of wording...we picked bits and pieces from what we saw, added a few of our own touches, and so I guess you could say we kinda wrote our own.

We will also be saying the same thing to each other.  I thought I'd be too nervous to try to recite some long speech I wrote.

We are not having a religious ceremony either, so I plan on doing the same thing as you.  I haven't gotten that far yet in the planning, though!

Nope. I don't want another thing to stress over or worry about the day of.

We are def doing our own.  I think we may go the whole route of surprise each other with them at that moment too.  My cousin is performing our ceremony, so we are doing nothing normal.

No.  I'm having a catholic wedding.  Not even sure if it's allowed either.  But even if it was, FI did not want to do them.  He has a pretty intense fear of public speaking.  The thought of being at the alter while other people are watching him  just repeat something kind of freaks him out too.  He would prefer it be just me and him and the minister, but is compromising by doing the ceremony in the church with my family watching.  So I'll take what I can get.
