Ohio-Toledo

Reception help please

We are looking for a place to have our reception that is close to or near Toledo for 150 people. We want to have our own catering service brought in and we need a stove. We are kind of on a tight budget. Any ideas?

Off the top of my head... the Ward Pavillion in Wildwood Metropark, or the Franciscan Center at Lourdes College.  That's all I can think of (I didn't look into places where you bring your own catering too much), but I'm sure the other ladies will have more ideas for you!

The information about this place claims that it has a capacity of 150.  However, you definitely cannot fit this many at tables/chairs.  I wouldn't look here unless you can trim your guestlist to about 100 and even then it might be tight.  We looked here and ruled it out because it was too small for us.

Have you looked at the Monclova community center?  I think the size is more appropriate and it has a kitchen with fridge/stove that you can use.  It has charming decor, but the shape of the room is slightly irregular.  I still think it is worth looking into if this isn't too far out in the boonies for you.

Right on the edge of Toledo (where Toledo becomes Oregon) there's a USW hall that's really nice. They have a full kitchen you can use and I remember they were pretty good price. Other than that I don't know of any others, but if you read my post about my FSIL she's looking for close to the same thing as you, so if you find something let me know.

You can bring your own catering into St Clement's on Tremainsville, Conn-Weissenberger on Alexis, the Knights hall on Secor and there are a couple of VFW/American Legion halls too.
