Dress: David’s Bridal

It’s a shame that I loved loved loved my dress because I would have much rather taken my business elsewhere. The consultant I worked with argued with me over wearing a veil (I didn’t want to wear one). They also weren’t real excited that I had all three of my sisters and my mom there at one time. Also I have to echo a complaint I’ve read elsewhere…I was left waiting a lot of the time because the consultant was with another bride. Then they got snarky with my sisters for pulling dresses while we were waiting. A bride does not like to sit around in a dress she hates and looks ugly in.

With the often repeated 40% off offer I don’t think any of my BM paid more than $150 (including shipping) for their dresses. Everyone managed to order sizes that fit with ease (some needed length alterations).

Such a wonderful person! She just did my bustle and it was super easy for my BM to do on the wedding day. She also did my mom’s dress and made her look great! Pam was just a joy to work with!
Hair & Makeup: Attitudes Salon (on Heatherdowns)A+Everyone is amazing here! Deidre did my hair and makeup and she did a wonderful job. I felt absolutely beautiful! It have naturally curly frizzy hair and it was shiny and gorgeous that day. It also stayed perfect through the strong winds and all of the dancing! I also had a fiasco at another nail salon (see below) and when my sister called the Friday before the wedding at 5 pm, they arranged for someone to take care of my nails while I got my hair and makeup done. Amazing! Nails: Teaze Salon in PerrysburgQ (because I was so upset after my experience there I decide they get lower than an F)
Attitudes was booked when I called so I had to find somewhere else. I scheduled manicures for my MOH and I the day before. My sister called and they allowed her to schedule one at the same time….I don’t know what they were thinking, they only have two manicure tables. I scheduled spa manicures and what I got I could have done at home: I can paint my own nails. I was told my nails were too short for a French manicure (I got one at Attitudes the next day that looked awesome). The girl rushed out the salon when she was done because she had to go pick up her kids from school. I had to have another girl come even out my nails because they were jagged even after my “manicure” was done. I will say that my sister had a different girl do her nails and she was super nice, gave her the spa manicure as requested and a French manicure. The day before the wedding was stressful enough, trust me this experience DID NOT help!!!
