Who to pass out my programs?

Can I get your advice? We are having a very small wedding at the Zoo.  55 people on the invite list and our wedding party consists of my sister and my fiance's brother.  Who is it acceptable to ask to pass out our programs?  I know I could go the basket route, but I'd prefer to have someone to do it.
Would it be acceptable to ask my fiance's sister in law.....wife of the best man?

Not sure if there is a protocol here, but I'd love to get your thoughts!

I wouldn't ask an adult.  Program hander outer is kind of a crappy job.  I would really just leave them in a basket at the back of the aisle or near the entrance (depending on how your area is set up).  People have been to weddings before and have seen programs.  They will know to take one.  If you really feel that someone needs this job, do you have any nieces, nephews, or cousins that might want to do it?  I'm thinking like age 7-12.  You could get them a corsage, put their name in the program and play it up like it's a cool thing.  I just don't think you'll be able to trick an adult into thinking it's a cool job!

I disagree. I think its perfectly acceptable. I would come and do it for you lol. I mean its only 55 people so theres not going to be a ton to pass out.
If you dont have a kid to do it, you could place the programs on their seats.

We are having our friends 5 year old twin girls pass them out. Since their mom introduced us, we found it appropriate

Are you having ushers?  If so, they could hand the person one before escorting them to their seat

I was probably just going to have either a BM or one of the ushers/groomsmen hand out programs.

And like PP said, since you only have 55 guests, you'd be fine to let an adult do it. It's not going to be super annoying/long or anything.

I totally disagree.  The number of people is irrelevant.  You will have guests showing up 30-40 minutes early and guests that are running to their seats right before the processional starts whether you have 500 guests or 50 guests.  The person passing out programs will have to stand there awkwardly at your wedding for 45 minutes regardless of how many people you have.

We only had 90 at our wedding and we just placed them on the seats.  Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

This is what I was going to say, I think we'll be placing ours on the seats with a cone of rose petals on top for our exit.
