I'm indifferent toward my FIL.  Even though he lives in the area, we only see him like 4 times each year.

I have streaks with my MIL.  Sometimes I think she is the nicest woman I have met.  Then other times I think she is a manipulative, catty, drama queen.  I'm not alone in feeling this way though.  Often, DH will come home and say "guess what my mom has done now?" and follow it up with some crazy story.

DH's grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. are all a great family to be a part of.

FFIL and FMIL are great for the most part.  I think my only rought times with FMIL had were when we were making wedding guest list.

FSILs are another story.  There are three of them (FI is the only boy in the family) and its almost like they are an exclusive club I will never get into.  They are nice to me for the most part, but it is mostly just politeness, not trying to make me part of the family.  I'm certainly not needing to be BFF with all of them, but we are going to be family in two months!

I do really like the future in laws, but it's probably because they live in Columbus and we only see them maybe 8 times a year.  FFIL is awesome, I really enjoy hanging out with him.  FMIL.... she has some mental issues and I feel bad for her.  No one in the family seems to talk to her.  When we go visit, she sits by herself in another room the whole time.  It really bothers me.  But, she's also the first one to make a nasty comment.  I think it's just old age though.  FSIL is pretty cool, she's starting to loosen up around me and more and more I like her.  She's super smart, so sometimes I feel like a complete idiot when talking to her, but oh well.  Now, her husband, super weird.  Really can't stand him.  Luckily, don't see him hardly at all.

I love my future in laws more than my own parents and family.  They have been wonderful to me and have made me a part of their family even before I am technically a part of it.  They have been a great help with the wedding as we are getting married where they live, where my fiance used to live, and we are 400 miles from there.  I don't at all consider them in laws...I have really lucked out with gaining such a great family.

I'm really starting to loathe my FMIL.  She sent me into a spiral where I cried for about 2 hours.  FI could not console me. He basically told his mother she was no longer invited to the wedding. The day after that, FI had to be taken to the ER.  Then FI had to have surgery, and she didn't call to see how he was doing or ANYTHING.  I've decided that she is not allowed to see our children, and we will not be spending holidays with her. Yes, I hate her.

I haven't met FFIL, and probably never will. FI has not spoken with him in 8 years.  He tried to get in touch with him 2 years ago, but his dad never responded.  FFIL doesn't even know I exist.

I've met one of my FSIL (the one who lives with FMIL).  I'm indifferent towards her.  I think she needs to get her act together, but other than that.. she hasn't made me cry so...  The other FSIL is in the same boat as FFIL.

But... FI's aunt's and a lot of his cousins are really nice.  At least the 2 times I've met them.

I like them for the most part. They live in Alabama, so we rarely see them, but I always enjoy it when we do!

The only thing I dislike about his parents is that they're extremely traditional! No sleeping in the same room together even if we in the living room on separate couches. No living together before marriage (we are breaking that rule right now, but that's the good thing about them living so far away...they don't know!)

FBIL is okay. He's quiet for the most part. FSIL is a little blunt for me, but we get along.
