    Brianna--that's good to know. I'm using Brooke too and I'll make sure she knows to get in the middle of the aisle if she has to and shoot lots of pictures! I want to look back on that moment.

    My package is $1,200 and included:
    * engagement session
    * full-day of wedding w/ 2 photographers
    * all-rights to images

    As long as you were happy with your pictures I don't think your budget matters--low or high.

    Yeah, that is my only suggestion.  I'm really sad that I don't have that picture, and that I can't go back and get it.  Other than that... great job!

    I still haven't posted pictures from my wedding yet (except my avatar). But they are awesome. Someday I'll get around to putting some in my bio.

    Brianna - don't feel too bad. My church wouldn't allow the photographer in the church for the ceremony -- she was permitted to take photos through a hole in the wall. Literally. Luckily, there are a few of the ceremony.

    The videographer was allowed to stand in the very back of the church in a specific spot -- and only that spot. Not allowed to move. So guess which bride's head is blocked by a pillar the whole ceremony? I'm a little bummed, but it's not a vendor's fault, and I'm just glad they were able to capture it at all.

    Yep, that was me. :)  I am just getting e-pics and 6 hours wedding day coverage. Ditto on what everyone else has likely said about the print release and edited images.  I didn't want bridals and we're not sure on the albums (we can always add them on later whenever we are ready).

    Good Lord--no way! I celebrated the END of wedding-ness (2.5 year engagements do that!) when I sold the last bit of my wedding stuff...no post-wedding depression here!

    Thanks for the responses...it was an interesting read :) I don't feel so bad. I booked Jessica in 2009 and I think that influended the deal I got too...we all know what the economy was like then!

    We're paying $3000

    We interviewed about 6 photographers and I found that the quality of the journalistic pictures for someone charging <$2000 was significantly less.  Interviewed a few that would have put our budget at $5000 but we came back off the crazy ledge.

    What we got:
    - Engagement Session with album
    - Bridal or Boudoir session
    - All day wedding day with album
    - She and her assistant attend the rehearsal to scope out the location
    - CDs of proofs (Both internet quality that are watermarked and proof quality)

    Instead of a bridal/boudoir session we got
    - Save the Dates postcards
    - Changed our album to be more of a guest book format
    - Instead of Bridals/Boudoir she'll attend the rehearsal and dinner and take pictures instead of just scope it out.

    I love Monica and Terry, her assistant/2nd photog.  Monica Hunter Photography.
