Wedding Cupcakes

For my wedding I have decided to do cupcakes instead of a full size cake. Does anyone know a baker that can do a beautiful cupcake display for my May 2012 wedding. Its a ways away so I have plenty of time to look. I am getting married in Marblehead OH, but live in Toledo. So anything in the Toledo-Sandusky area is great. 

I know about cake in a cup in Sylvania, but have not been exposed to their work much. Anyone with experience there?

I have heard the KupCake Bar is a great place.  I believe they are in Maumee.

Barb Pinkelman is doing my cupcakes. They are ABSOLUTELY delicious. I would be happy to provide you with her info. She charges $1.50 per cupcake. And I really cannot say enough about how tasty they are.

Cake in a Cup is delicious. I called them multiple times to get more info, prices, etc. for my wedding, and no one ever got back to me. So, they lost my business. We are getting our cupcakes from Sam's Club. They are really tasty and super affordable. They only come in chocolate or vanilla, though, so that might be a deal breaker for some. They can do the frosting in any color.

I have to agree w/PP.  It took Cake in a Cup over 2 weeks to call me back so they lost my business.

We got our cupcakes at Sam's Club too.  As far as flavor they are AMAZING, but you are limited in choices of flavor.  We decorated them ourselves.

I also used some silver sprinkles on some and edible pearls on others.  It took 4 of us less than 1/2 hour to do 160 cupcakes.

We used them as our centerpieces.  In hind sight the only thing I would do different would be to add some more color in some way.  There was  A LOT of white in our reception hall.

Creative Confections is doing my cake. I know she does cupcakes all the time and I think she charges somewhere between $1.00-$1.50 per cupcake?? Her cake is awesome and she is super nice!! I think her webiste is www.mycreativeconfections.com

wixeys. I met with cake in cup. I thought they were overpriced. Plus the owner forgot about our appointment so we had to wait around for her for almost an hour so she could drive to the shop.

We are using Timberline Bakery at the Zoo. All differnt flavors and at .90 a cupcake, you can't beat it! Cake in a Cup is way over priced!

I am doing the same for my wedding. Cake in a cup has a shop on central and mccord. They also do weddings/events. I put my name on a piece of paper to be called about pricing, but never got a call back.
