ceremony site

Hi I am a first time poster. We are getting married 10/20/12 and I am in need of suggestions for a ceremony location. We are not members of a church, but I would really like to have the ceremony take place in a church. If anyone has any suggestions on churches that will marry nonmembers it would be very much appreciated Smile

You could TRY Mayfair Plymouth on Bennett Rd.  They may or may not be nice to you about it.  That's non-denominational.

Rosary Cathedral I think accepts non-members, but I think you have to be Catholic.  Plus it's at least $1000 to get married there.

My church took non-members, but again it was Catholic.

    Any particular denomination??

Depending on their requirements, pick a church you like and become members.  Fees are usually cheaper for members vs. non-members.

If you want to be married in a church because religion is a part of your life, I would suggest just becoming a member.  If you want to be married in a church just to use it as a pretty backdrop for your ceremony, many people affiliated with the church might find that kind of offensive and you may struggle to find something.

I can't tell by your post, but if you and your FI are not that religous, there are non-church venues in the area that are indoors too.  Good luck!

first of, welcome and congrats !<div>
</div><div>i would agree with the other girls, if you and your fi are religious and you have a faith you believe in  your best bet is to just join a church, alot of churches will charge extra for not being a memebr and might have you be limited to what you can do as far decorating and such. you have a little time so i would go visit with some churches, talk to members and the pastor, pick one, join, and then seek info about holding the ceremony there..good luck and again congrats ! </div>
