I am freaking out!

We are now 8 days away from the wedding, the guest list has grown way beyond our expectations, we are having trouble getting enough chairs and tables on the island for the newly added guest, my dress isn't fitting right and my seamstress just seems to be making it worse, the food/alcohol budget has more than doubled (thanks to my FFIL...arrrrgghhh), my MOH may need surgery two days before the wedding and now the weather is not looking good, possible rain and mid 60's which means our beautiful Lake side wedding ceremony may now be a crowded ceremony in the living room of the Lake house and our backyard reception may be 50 people crowded in a house!!!!! PLEASE SEND ME SOME PRAYERS AND GOOD VIBES!!!

    Deeeeeep breaths!!!!

Despite ALL of that, your wedding day will be perfect.  It will be perfect because at the end of the day, you will be married.   Yes, these issues SUCK, but it will all work out OK!!

Ask friends/family for help with things - let them call about tables/chairs!!

If your seamstress seems to be making your dress worse, talk to her and express your concerns.  If she's a quality seamstress, she'll make it right!

There's not much you can do about budget at this point, but at least you'll have lots of good food and drinks, right?! :)

Also, nothing you can do about MOH, but I will send good vibes that she stays healthy and/or recovers well from her surgery.  It may put a damper on your day, but her health is most important!

And rain on your wedding day is GOOD LUCK!!  Really, it is!!  Plus, my brother and SIL had an outdoor wedding in the rain!   Yes it was cold, yes, their sand ceremony was a sloppy mess, and yes everyone's hair looked a mess, but you know what??  it was still completely beautiful, and most of all, it was memorable.

So again, take a deep breath and don't let yourself stress over all of this.  Keep smiling and counting down the days until you're a Mrs!! :):):)   (((hugs)))

Aw, I couldn't say anything better than Merin.  She is totally right about everything.  Just relax and remember, laughter is the best way to overcome any stress.  It's going to get to the point when all you can do is laugh.  Once you get to look your FI in the eyes, everything will seem OK anyways!  I'll keep you in my thoughts!

Merin hit it on the nose! You have a bridal party and family for a reason, use them! tables, chairs, whatever you need they are there!

I was in a wedding in Cleveland last weekend with 60 mph winds...the only thing I can suggest is investing in some inexpensive shaws/pasminas for your female guests!

Remember, rain on your wedding day is totally good luck and you will be so excited you won't even notice if its a little chilly!!!

    Hugs!

Merin is totally right on this!!!  And just BREATH!!

My brother got married this year the 2nd weekend in March and it absolutely POURED all day long.  Everyone was complaining, but I told them if it had been a few degrees colder, we would have gotten slammed with sleet and freezing raind or a Nor'easter...so they should have been happy for just the rain.  If it's not exactly what you wanted it to be, just try to make the best of it....that's what I just keep trying to tell myself.  I had mega problems with getting my wedding dress and now I hate it, but there's nothing I can do about it at this point, so I'm just trying to deal with it.  And I'm totally through all the money we had set aside for the wedding and I have alot more to pay yet, so I know how you feel about struggling for money.  You will make it work out in the end somehow.

But ***BIG HUGS*** and I hope it all does work out for you in the end though.   I wish us fellow knotties could make all the problems go away for you, unfortunately we can't!!   But I'll be praying and hoping that everything works out fine!!
