Cake topper for cupcakes..?

Hi ladies! We are having cupcakes at our reception instead of a normal cake. I would like to buy something like a cake topper to put at the top of the cupcake tower. It would obviously have to stand on it's own, because it won't be going into the top of a cake. Any ideas/suggestions for me? TIA!

    What about using a cupcake topper that is actually a cake (with or without a topper of its own)?  Then you could also use this to cut like the couple in the picture.
