Workout Accountability: Friday!

Yeah Friday!  

I ran outside last night, about 4 miles.  My legs felt really heavy again.  I don't know if I'm psyching myself out, or if its because there are a lot of other runners on my route, but I've felt kind of slow these past two runs.  Hopefully next run I can break out of this funk.

Tonight I'm lifting and doing the elliptical.  

Anything fun going on this weekend?  FI is busy with work, so I'll probably just workout and catch up on some wedding planning tasks I've been putting off. No Hunger Games movie for me this weekend :(

  • I had my first post-marathon recovery run last night.  I went nice & slow, about 3 miles.  My leg muscles are completely ok, maybe a little heavy, but definitely not sore.  My knees are a little sore though :(  I guess that's what happens when you pound pavement for 5 hours.

    I went to spin class this morning just to move my legs without as much impact.  I didn't put on a ton of resistance, but it was nice for recovery.  I think I'll get back into weight lifting and hard core spinning next week.  Well, we shall see...

  • Last night I opted not to go to the gym and ran a little over 4 miles outside.  It felt great!  I didn't end up doing the ab challenge... I've been bad with that this week.  Hopefully I will get some done this weekend!

    I have a friend coming tonight so we will see if I have a chance to squeeze in a quick workout beforehand.  
  • TGIF,  Hi all- I went running with my sister in law yesterday after work, and got up for the gym this morning to do a light ab workout and incline power walking. I might also go for a bike ride this afternoon. Have a great day.

    FI and I took today off to celebrate his birthday, so we just got back from a good weight session at the gym.  
    Cardio on Saturday and Sunday for me so I can fight off the weight gain from this crazy cake he wants for his birthday dinner...

  • Took yesterday off - definitely needed.

    Tonight I'll be going to the gym, it's a little cooler outside so I'm hoping the workout doesn't feel like as much of a chore today.

    My co-workers commented today that I look thinner :)

    Good morning, ladies, and happy Friday!

    This week has been a nightmare, but things have calmed down a bit and I have a moment to myself for the first time this week. It sounds silly, but I am the yearbook adviser at the high school where I teach and we were on our final deadline this week. It was brutal.

    Despite having limited time, I did start Week 5 of C25K and did a few JM workouts. Tonight I plan on doing No More Trouble Zones. We don't have much on tap for the weekend which is nice.

    Medi--congrats on finishing the marathon! That's so impressive!

  • Yay Friday!!!

    I took yesterday off and ran some errands- was nice not to be stressed trying to find a running route with mostly shade!

    I think I'm going to run 4 or 5 miles today down by the canal depending on how I feel! My shower is this weekend so I am trying to strategize getting in some activity and prepare myself not to pig out too much!

    On an exciting note I lost another pound this week- 17.2 so far!! I was really hoping to break 150, but maybe next week!
  • Yay Friday!!  I guess I could say I took yesterday off.  It was not a successful evening.  I intended to workout, but due to a headache all day that worsened in the evening I did not.  And sadly, since I napped and my supper time was off, I ate poorly.  But, on to a better day today!  We have our tasting at our venue today.  Looking forward to that, and the workout later on!

  • Well, I hit spin class yesterday which I was proud of, since I'm out of town.  Today looks like it's going to be an off day, but I'm going to hit the gym hard when I get home tomorrow.
