Multi Vitamin

I started taking the One A Day Women's multi vitamin but no matter how I take it, it makes me nauseous. I've taken it before I've eaten, during, after and it still same results. I went to google and searched to see if this had happened to other women who have taken it and there has been a good amount. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about a good multi vitamin to take. Thanks ladies!

Re: Multi Vitamin

  • That is probably because of the high iron content. I take the Target generic women's vitamin and have had no problems.
  • Try taking it at night before you go to bed.  That way, you won't notice if it makes you feel sick!

  • The same thing happens to me.  I'd be interested to hear about other brands people take as well that don't do that.
  • I have a friend with IBS who had the same problem.  She found that there are multi-vitamins that are more "food-based" which are usually gentler on your stomach (warning, they are a bit bigger than the regular kind).  I think you can get them at Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, as well as probably a vitamin store.

Not sure why you decided to start taking a multi-vitamin, but I've been reading lately that basically they don't really do anything for you if you are eating well.  I've been taking one for probably 10 years, and I just recently stopped taking it.

  • I had the same issue as well.  I started taking just 1/2 the pill after lunch for a week.  Now it is perfectly fine.  Hope it works out for you.
  • The same thing happened to me!

I take an adult gummy vitamin.  I bought them @ Whole Foods. I love them :)
