Honeymoon in 30 days! Need help PLEASE :)

SO I have lost a total of about 16 pounds and have been at a platea for about 2 weeks. My honeymoon is in a month and I really would love to lose as much as possible before I go. It's really bringing me down thinking about wearing a bikini at my current body weight. I have a major sweet tooth and LOVE carbs. I've been counting calories strictly since mid January and I'm definately not complaining about my 16 pounds gone, but I'm not happy where I am, what should I do in this next month to kick it into gear?
THanks s much ladies in advance :)

  • Well....when is your wedding?  Is your dress being altered?  Keep in mind that any weight loss or gain at this point will change the way your dress fits.

Now, if you're already married, or you're not concerned about alterations for some reason, here are the best things you can do to make the most of your 30 days:
-drink lots of water.  ONLY water, if you can.
-cut out processed foods as much as possible.
-cut out carbonated beverages, alcohol, high sodium foods, eating out.
-you don't have to give up carbs, but make smart carb choices.  Fruits and veggies are the best, whole grains aren't too shabby either.  Get rid of the white stuff.
-up your fiber intake.  Drink lots of water.  Do it now, don't wait until a couple weeks before the HM, because you might get a little....backed up for a few days.
-Do high intensity interval training for cardio 2-3 times a week
    -start lifting weights
-make sure you're eating ENOUGH when you're counting your calories.
-don't deprive yourself of things you love and will want to eat on the HM.  Cutting them out now might lead you to binge on the HM which will cause gas, bloating, stomach cramps, etc
-remember that 1-2 lbs a week is a healthy, sustainable weight loss goal.

Everything the light touches is my kingdom.
  • drink water, eat more veg and fruit- avoid alcohol and caffeine, and change your workout.
    Nadi
  • Nadia- why do you say to avoid caffeine?
It's a diuretic..  Unless you mean like.. sodas...

If your stuck at a plateau I would up your calories for a few days, I hit one a few weeks ago and the only thing that would get me back on track was to up my cal intake for a few days and than brought it back down... as the others have said be careful with your dress, my wedding is in June and I've been told once I have my first fitting I have to go into maintaining my size...

ETA - Just noticed your profile you are already married!

You can try the 3 day diet. Google it. It's the one with the tuna and hot dogs. It guarantees 10 pounds in 3 days, however I've only lost 8 which is still awesome. You do the diet for 3 days, off for 4 days and repeat. Be really careful on your "off" days because just as fast as the weight comes off it can sneak back on. So don't over do it with the snacking and high calorie foods, i.e. carbs. Good Luck!
