Workout Accountability: Thursday

I need it to be this weekend so bad.  One more day...

Last night I lifted, did the elliptical and then still had a ton of energy so I ran 2 miles.  Tonight I'll run 4-6 miles depending on how I feel.  

How did everyone else do? 

ETA: And my sig has disappeared. I'm guessing this means TK is still broken.

  • Last night I just did the elliptical for 40min. I have been listening to books on my iphone while I work out, which has worked pretty well to keep me going, but I am starting to get a little bored! I also realize my ellipical is a real POS (we traded a desk for it with FI's cousins) and maybe it is time to look into getting a good one.

    I am hoping it doesn't snow or rain this afternoon so I can run outside. I have a ton of homework to do though so a shortish workout is in order!
  • Last night I was going to go to the gym and do some lifting and abs but that didn't happen.  I got the Implanon implant last night (birth control) and the OB suggested I don't do any weight lifting for 4 days, plus it's a little sore so I probably wouldn't have been able to do much anyways.  Also, I can't get the area wet for 5 so that means no crazy sweaty cardio.  

    I'm hoping tonight (if FI feels better) we will go and I will focus on squats, abs, and VERY light elliptical or bike cardio.  
  • Good morning! It's very dark and dreary here--definitely puts you in a blah mood. Last night I started Week Three of Ripped in 30. I really liked this circuit. The exercises were different, but challenging. I definitely needed a change and the variety in this workout was good.

    I'll be doing Zumba tonight plus another day of Ripped in 30. FI and I were supposed to get a treadmill last weekend, but we didn't have a chance to go, so I'm hoping we can get one this weekend.

    I'm about to go do the "cardio recovery" Insanity DVD.  Yeah, recovery my ass.  This one makes me more sore than the rest.  But it's NOT cardio, I suppose, so that part is true at least.

  • Morning ladies! Nice job with your workouts. I went to spin this morning for an hour. A lot of intervals today, I feel like I got a really good workout! I need it to be the weekend too! I feel like I'm going crazy this week. Just finished addressing the STDs last night - so those will be in the mail today! It's all coming together :)

  • Definitely had NO motivation to work out last night, but I went to the gym anyways. Did 35 minutes on the elliptical and by the end of it I was glad I'd made myself go, but I was still exhausted!

    HAHAHAHHA NO.

    It's like....hmmmm....it's hard to explain.  I guess I'd call it slow, deep strength work.  Like, slow squats and lunges and then holding and pulsing forever and ever and ever.

  • It's ok, that's what I thought it would be too.  I was also very wrong.  Luckily I had read reviews online, so I was prepared for it to still be hard, but I still thought it would be different, somehow.

  • I am running 9 miles tonight... it's supposed to rain too, so that sucks.  Oh well, I rest tomorrow and do 18 miles Saturday (then I sleep the rest of the weekend!!)  Marathon is just over 4 weeks away Surprised

  • I'm so very new to the KNOT.  Thank you Ladies for this accountablity piece!  Can I join in?  I have not been consistent at working out for years and so need this!  not just for the wedding but for a lifetime!  going to do something active today!  Thanks for the boosst of encouragement! :)

  • Good Morning All!

    Last night was the Bum Bum workout.  It's still the hardest one so far.  I did a better job with it last night than I have so far, so I'm happy with that.  My legs could barely hold me up when I was done, which makes me feel like this program is working.  Tonight is a rest night, so if I have time, I'm going to try to do a yoga routine from another workout series.

    Everyone is doing really great this week!

  • Last night I went to the gym with my FI and we both got memberships. I'm in week two of C25K, and just can't keep running outside! It's too darn cold here. Gotta use the track at the gym, plus it's got weight machines so that way I can start incorporating some weights in too - otherwise I just know I'll end up being a smaller but still flabby me!! Terrifying!! ;)

    Chest and back lift for me tonight...and then FI is visiting!!! kind of excited.
     Spinning got cancelled tomorrow but I'll go on sat.

  • Didn't work out yesterday but did take a long walk on the beach with my FI. This morning I went to Zumba and Body Pump. My diet has been pretty good the past week as well!

    Last night I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and c25k week 2 day 2.

    Tonight I am going to do probably 30-45 minutes on the elliptical and some arm workouts.

    This morning was boot camp.  She did a 3-2-1 program:  3 minutes of cardio, 2 minutes of strength (bands and hand weights) and 1 minute of core/abs. 

    I'm on day 2 of my FitBit and loving that little gadget.

  • This morning I did 30 min on the elliptical, 15 on  the bike, 45 min of a cardio core class, then 30 more minutes on the bike.  And I read half of a book.  I think  that was a successful 2 hours!
