Getting in Shape

Monday Accountability

Hope no one minds if I start this...
I'm loving this three-day weekend business!  I'm going to the apple orchard today, even though I'm sure it will be mobbed.

B: 3 Wasa crackers with laughing cow and reduced-fat veggie cream cheese, grapes
L: Not sure.  Maybe pick something up on the way from the apple orchard.
S: Not sure again Laughing
D: Butternut squash and black bean chili in the crock pot (new recipe)
E: Walking around the orchard, maybe going for a nice long walk later.

Have a great day all!

  • TEA&Co, is your dinner recipe from Epicurous?  I was looking at that last night.  It looks fantastic.  I settled for the Curried Butternut Squash soup though.

Being off is always bad for what I eat, so I'll be trying hard to keep things in line today!

B: eggs and turkey bacon.  perhaps as an omlette?
    S: no idea.  string cheese?
L: probably Kraft Dinner (ie, Mac and Cheese) not good, but sooooo good,
    S: ?
    D: Chicken Tortilla soup

E: rest day.  I did a metabolic circuit yesterday that's left me much more sore than I anticipated.  I'll be working around the hosue, but will be out of the gym today!

  • I wish I had today off from work! My job never has the "minor" holidays off, and we are actually busier than usual because the kids are off school and so they come in to our learning center all day (as opposed to just in the afternoon).

    b- homemade "garden harvest" muffin
    s- strawberry kefir
l- amy's frozen meal (black bean enchiladas)
    s- carrot sticks, greek yogurt
d- stir fry-veggies, tofu, yellow curry sauce, brown rice
    s- probably another muffin

e- elliptical for 20 min and a hour ballet barre class at the gym
  • B: frosted flakes w/skim milk
L: turkey and provolone on wheat, potato chips
S: FI has some left-over berry smoothie in the fridge...
D: grilled pork w/LOTS of garlic.  If I don't have the smoothie as a snack, I'm going to have some with dinner!
S: white chocolate macadamia nut cookie
  • Ugh, freaking monday. I'm not happy today. I woke up really late, and my stomach kinda hurts. I have a feeling its going to be a weird-eating day because of that.

    S- grapes
    L-sub
    S- greek yogurt
    D- grilled chicken/spinach salad

    E - 60 minutes Fit Yoga

I am working on my updating my calories from Livestrong and currently, I am right under 1700 calories per day.  Is this too many calories for 1 day? I am usually full, but not stuff.. Sometimes, i am still hungry by the end of the night.  Thoughts?
  • B- Kashi Cinnamon Harvest and Skim Milk

1700 sounds just about right to me, especially if you're exercising!  Livestrong is smart, you can trust it.

I think it came from a Weight Watchers recipe site.  I can't remember for sure though.  I'll let you know if it's any good!
