Getting in Shape

only 5 months instead of 8!

So I thoght I was going to get married in August but instead I am getting married in May. That means I have a lot less time to tone up for my wedding, I want to look perfect! I'm not very big but I hate my thighs and butt lol. Can anyone suggest some exercises that will make them smaller? I was going to wear a ballgown that hid them but now my fmil is saying that I can't wear that, so I need to trim them down so they look good in a more slinky dress. I just want to trim my bottom half, I don't want my boobs to get smaller lol!

    First, welcome!

Second, why does your FMIL get the final say in what you're wearing?  Last I checked you're the one wearing the dress, and the way I understand that is that you should be wearing what you want, and what makes you feel best about yourself.

Third, you can't spot reduce fat from a particular area.  Fat loss occurs as a result of taking in fewer calories than you burn (so either eating less or moving more) and where the fat comes off first is determined by your genetics, not which exercises you do.

  • Thanks for the information, i didn't know that you couldn't trim just one area! I guess all those machines you see on the TV are pretty useless, lol! I'm glad I enever actually bought any of them. In any case I guess I am wearing my originol dress anyway, so it doesn't matter to much but really maybe I shoul dget some exercise, its probably good for me and my older sister says that if i don't learn to exercise now i'll regret it when I'm older when my metabolism slows down, lol!
