I posted a question in the comments on SmittenKitchen today, and Deb answered it! I feel like a celebrity was talking to me! Haha

Julie I am right there with you..FILs live in Shreveport which I lovingly refer to it as the dumpster of the US... FI only has his mom and dad, his dad just finished his masters and his mom doesn't work yet they can't drive to Dallas for Xmas where my 40+ family members are. Ok B&M over because I am going to San Marcos with my mom and sister the day after Xmas for outlet shopping!!

My B&M is that you can't go directly to the last page of a multi page post from the home page.

AND I have to work all this week until 3pm on Thursday.  (But I am off the 29th - 6th)

[QUOTE]I'm with you guys on the spending. I just checked my personal bank account and was shocked at how much I've spent on my husband! And mostly clothes, at that! Now that we're married, and I have a say in what he wears (to some extent), I'm trying to get rid of the old holey things and replace them with new, unholey things-- which gets expensive!

I've been gradually working on FI's wardrobe for over a year now!  I do all the laundry and it's just terrible that some of his things are disappearing in the dryer.  It must have a black hole... :)  I've been replacing things and it does get pricey.  I've also enlisted my mom and aunt for the last couple Bdays and Christmases to throw a shirt or pair of pants in with his gift.

Thanks, Danielle.  I'm sure we'll have a nice Christmas... it's just all the pre-mess that stresses me out :)

I just realized I thought I had plenty of extra money in my bank account for a convention I'm attending in January, and I realized over half of that will go to the hotel cost. Dang.

I want to know how they can say "she died of natural causes".  What normal, healthy 32 year old woman would drop dead from cardiac arrest?  I'm sorry, but she had to have been on something or prescription drugs that reacted badly together.  No one just drops dead at 32 from "natural causes".  Have you seen the pictures of her taken a few weeks ago?  She looked anorexic.

Is that gross looking guy really her husband?

I agree Mariah.   My first thought was drugs or some kind of foul play.  Probably drugs it sounds like now...maybe not even the illegal kind though... could just be abuse of diet drugs or something.

My first thought was drugs, too, but I still think it's incredibly sad.

We finally got in touch with the insurance and now the idiot is saying that he didn't know if he had a red light or not. I HATE liars!!! I know for a fact that I had a green light, I am so angry right now!

I wish our honeymoon would pick itself.   There are WAY too many options for me to process.

    Hi, Nae!  We've missed you.

I just haven't found any redeeming qualities in BR other than that's where Bill came from.  We spent most of Christmas there last year and we're spending some time there this year because they came here for Thanksgiving.  It's unfair to my family but I'm trying to be nice.  Now that our departure is approaching the nice feeling is going away.

Julie--I'm sorry. Your in-laws sound like hell. Perhaps you can play in-law bingo this time?

    My B&M:

Jay gave me a sterling silver ring with little diamond chips in it last year. Kay's didn't size it right, so I had time today and took it to a local jeweler. 3-4 years ago I took a vintage white gold ring there and they sized it up 4 sizes for $40 (and I originally thought it was silver and the quote was $15).

So of course, I go in, tell the lady I need it resized, and then the dang ring looks like it fits because my fingers are so cold. I said just bring it up a size anyway, because it always does that and gets really uncomfortable. So she goes through the whole process, and as I was about to leave, I asked how much it would be. 51 dollars!!! To resize a silver ring up ONE size!!!

I'm pretty sure that ring wasn't more than $70 anyways and I sure wasn't paying that much to get it resized. I just canceled and felt really stupid. Does that seem like a lot to anyone else? I was just going off what their prices were a few years ago.
