Ooo we have the same countdown!  It's SO CLOSE!  We got our marriage license yesterday.  It took an hour, but at least we got it!

I have 38 days!!! All I can think about is this damn wedding... I am ready for it to be over.. Ready for people to stop looking at me for answers.. My answer now is I DONT CARE. I keep forgetting about the light at the end of the tunnel. The honeymoon!!!! 1 week on the beach with no one asking me about candy, and dj's, and rsvp cards, and room reservations... I cannot wait.

ditto! i'm fryed and no longer care about half the crap that's going on. i can't wait to be in mexico, with my new hubby :)

also, I've been hired for a team photography gig! :) woot! :) its just for a sunday event, but still. feels nice to make some extra money before the wedding/house/school fiasco begins

Oop we're the 24th!  Pretty much the same.  SO CLOSE!! We went to the courthouse downtown on our lunch hour-- the process actually took about 5 minutes but the WAITING was 45 minutes!  We were hungry and crabby.  I recommend filling out the info online before you leave so it goes faster.

The Records building on Main downtown.  It's not too far from my office.   They just had 1 person doing the marriage licenses, and so it was taking forever.  I'd probably recommend going at around 2-ish or so on an off peak time!

I have 1 month!!!

I finally found those purple Nina heels today that I asked everyone to keep an eye out for a year ago, and of course they are too tall for my poor arthritic ankle.
Fortunately I did find a cute pair of purple shoes with a lower heel that I can totally walk well in. I'm so excited! Here they are:


And we got Daniel's ring ordered and started ordering his custom suit off of Indochino.com. I love how I've been asking him about this for the last few months and he just now decides that he cares enough to order new things. Boys are silly.

We went to the one in Plano and were in and out pretty quick.  I think we went around like 11 though.  But it wasn't bad at all! :-)

We went to the office in Richardson near Belt Line and Coit. We were there maybe 20 minutes, and I stongly suggest filling out the information online prior to your arrival. Lickety split.

We went to the one in Dallas near Bachman Lake and were in and out in less than 30 minutes.  Ditto on the rec of filling out your information online.  Is it still cash only?  That completely threw three couples for a loop the day we went in.

You're right, Julie, it is still cash only. We went as far as to bring exact change, but you don't have to be that prepared ;) We just wanted to make sure we wouldn't have to go back!

Alot of the offices in collin county require it be exact change :) at least that's what the lady at the plano office told us :)

Courtney, have you tried any of the shops in downtown Plano?  There is Sutton Place, which has a mixture of antique furniture and (mostly) regular furniture they've treated to make it look antique.  There's also a consignment furnishings store called Pearls that gets new stuff in almost every day -- FI and I found a bunch of crystal there for just $75!

And La Foofaraw might have something, too, if you wanted to try it.
