Grad Student Accountability

Morning Ladies-So, now that school is back in session, I thought I might start this board back up again.  Technically, I graduated in May and took the Bar in July.  But, being a virtually unemployed lawyer, I still count myself in grad-student mode.  At least, I'm working on a research grant through my law school.  That counts, right?  Hehe.Anyway, I'll go back to our Sunday and Thursday routine.  I'll post every Sunday and Thursday, starting a new thread.  The way it worked last time was that we would recount our last few days- how we exercises, how we ate, how we drank, how that's working with school in the mix.  At the end, we set a mini-goal for the following 4 days.  For example- I want to up my water intake to 5 Nalgene bottles, instead of 3-4.Let me know if you're still interested.

  • I'm interested! :-)
  • Yay! I was hoping this would come back. I'm now almost halfway to my MBA and less than a year away from the wedding! This module I'm in school 3 nights a week and Saturday mornings, plus one of my classes requires giving a Powerpoint presentation every week, so the next 5 weeks are going to be scary busy. My FI and I are moving at the end of the month to a bigger apt, so I'm also trying to pack. As for work, FI and I were both laid off in Aug and are now both working from home. It's a little weird, but it helps me get more done instead of wasting time looking busy at the office. Before Thursday my goal is to work out twice. That gives me a little wiggle room, because I'm behind in homework right now (spent the holiday weekend with my parents and didn't touch a book). But it has to be a hard-core workout, not just 20 minutes. Oh, and I want to eat healthier, like salads. Eating out doesn't work well when you're poor and trying to lose weight!
