Supplements...good or bad?

I have been trying to find a way to shed my last 18 pounds in the next two months.  (I know it's a lot, but I have to try)  A few years ago, I tried taking the Lipo 6 supplements but you can't have caffeine and they gave me the shakes.  Does anyone have any ideas or thoughts about supplements or suggested meal plans?

Re: Supplements...good or bad?

  • What kind of work out routine are you doing now? Describe what you eat in a normal day? Do you know how many calories you need and how many you are actualy eating?
  • If you're looking for a supplement (like slimquick), those things don't work.I take straight green tea extract with egcg. It's completely natural, doesn't limit what you can have. It gives you energy, increases your metabolism, and reduces your hunger. You can find it at places like GNC.

  • I am not sure if whey protein is considered a supplement but I use that in my protein shakes, and those helps me in my efforts to lose weight. I have never tried any supplements like Lipo 6. However, I would like to hear from any knotties that will admit that they tried supplements or are using them now and what their reviews are.
  • FI who is a trainer doesn't like the fad quick fix type supplements.  What he does swear by however, is B-vitamins and fish oil pills.
