Hello everyone!!!
I'm new to the boards, and wanted to get your opinions on wedding coordinators. My fiancee and I are doing a DIY wedding. We've already found a venue (same place for our wedding and reception), have our food and drinks figured out (his parents are cooking BBQ) and are working on figuring out all the other details. Our wedding isn't until October 2013, but our venue is a little hard to work with. We have both an indoor and outdoor area to set up and decorate. The wedding will be outside, then the reception will move inside. There is no staff for set up or clean up, so I've been thinking of hiring a coordinator, mainly for the week/day of the wedding. I don't want to spend my wedding day freaking out about the venue not being set up!
I know it's a lot to take on, but we have a tight budget. We're paying for as much as we can by ourselves, with our parents helping with some costs.
So, here's the question. Does anyone know of a good, reasonably priced wedding coordinator who we can hire for a very short period of time? We live in Lewisville, north of Dallas, so anyone located in the northern part of the metroplex would be ideal.
