B&M Monday

I feel like our home is never going to come together. We're both working 60 hour weeks, which is GREAT for H since he is self-employed/freelance so getting such a good gig is awesome. But NOT so great for finishing unpacking and figuring out what to do with all of our cool new kitchen goodies. These boxes and unhung pictures are driving me bananas.

Re: B&M Monday

  • The A/C is out in our office. I should be able to leave and work from home due to the unsafe work conditions right? lol

Carrie - Unpacking is the worst! Maybe you guys could try to work on one room a weekend?
  • We have most of the boxes unpacked, it's just the trickiness of combining our two households, some of our wedding gifts are still at his mom's, and we haven't hung anything on the walls yet. We need to get some wedding/ engagement pics printed, because we have a LOT of pictures and collages of our single days that just won't really work anymore. We'll figure it out.
Last night we finally opened all of our C&B boxes that had all of our place settings, and packed up our old dishes to give away to an undetermined sibling-in-need (we have 11 between the two of us, so someone will take them).
These are good problems to have, just somewhat of an eyesore!
  • Carrie- as Ash said, just one step at a time. Hell, it has been a year for us and we still haven't finished the office and our bedroom (ironically the rooms in which we spend the most time).

DH's flight hasn't been cancelled yet (he flies into New Orleans on Tuesday). I keep hoping it does so he can spend more time with me (selfless, I know /sarcasm). Really, I just hope the entire show he is doing down there gets cancelled, but I know that won't happen. Needless to say, I am no longer going down to join him this weekend (not Issac related, just couldn't get off work). Yell

Ash- with the potential of 90 degree heat and this humidity, I would totally say unsafe work conditions #firstworldproblems Wink Seriously though, that must be super muggy!
  • Oh the in between phase. Yea not looking forward to that at all when we move.

All of this! I feel like I need to shower again and I've only been here for an hour.

If his flight isn't cancelled I hope he doesn't get caught in Issac. I thought it would die down by now.
  • Carrie, I totally understand.  We combined our two homes and then H left for training.  I was lucky to have the summer to unpack.  I've got MOST of the stuff out -- just need to buy picture frames and order some more wedding pics to display.  A lot of H's stuff I've just left in the boxes until he gets back.  It's clothes and things he's had in storage for nearly 8 months, so he needs to sort through and decide what stays and what goes.

  • Getting the house together is NEVER-ENDING.  We've lived in our house two and a half years, and there are still parts that need some major organizing and decorated.

My only B&M is that Remington had his boy surgery last week, and I'm struggling keping him limited on his activity.  And I think he might be a little more swollen than he should be.  And, I'm an overly worried freak, so yes, we are headed to the vet this afternoon to have her look at him and make sure all is good!
  • I'm so happy that I finally got my pictures back this weekend! I'll share them once I get the cd this week...I feel terrible today though. I might end up leaving early cause I'm bleh!

  • Kylie- sorry about the little guy. Hopefully the vet says everything is a-ok.

DH's flight got cancelled- yay! I am still crossing my fingers the entire show is cancelled- I really want him to spend his birthday here with me.

Can't wait to see your pictures Deborah!

  • My BM is our JDA system is not connecting meaning non of us can get our work done. So sick if this crap!

    Need to rant.

While I am active on facebook, you could never accuse me of being an 'oversharer'. Like, ever. All of my updates and pictures are stupid and nonsensical.
I put up a post today about feeling nauseous and I thought it was the West Nile (joke).
If there was any biological chance that I was actually pregnant, do people REALLY think I would be so open about symptoms???
Everyone is like, 'oh you're pregnant!' Um no actually I'm on my period and I feel a little dizzy, but you're probably right.
Can't a newlywed just have an upset stomach????

    Rant over.

Nope. Babies. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" /> P.S. totally feel ya. My boss raises her eyebrows everytime I say I have an upset stomach (which historically, currently, and will in the future happen a lot as I have a very sensitive stomach). People need to shut down their assumptions- stat.

Love this.  For me, my BFF just had twins and I posted a picture of me holding them, and EVERY comment was about when we were having kids.  Anyone who is remotely close to us know, WE ARE NOT HAVING MORE KIDS!  <div>
</div><div>I'm gonna start lying to people and tell them MATT GOT FIXED.  </div><div>
</div><div>BTW, Remy is all good, thank goodness.  They didn't even fell the need to give him a cone.  But, they want me to do a "hydro-treatment" on him where I spray water, directly as his "sack".  Yeah right!  That is something I probably won't be able to do!  </div>
  • Kylie just tell them the man of the house got fixed. Technically you're not lying.
