Workout Accountability: Tuesday

Hope everyone had a nice weekend, I was off yesterday and it was so nice to have that extra day to sleep in.

Let's see, I ran Friday, took Saturday off, lifted Sunday and ran 5.5 miles yesterday.  Tonight is another lift workout and the elliptical. 

How did everyone else do?

  • Hi!  I had yesterday off too.  I had big plans of running but it didn't work out.  I was sore from running a 5 miler on Sunday (I was bummed because I was hoping it would be a 7 miler but I crapped out at 5), and we had laundry, grocery shopping, and our landlord was showing the property becuase it was on the market so that left no time to work out.

    Tonight I'm hoping to run and do an ab workout.  I've been eating fairly healthy and last night I made sure to buy lots of fruit and veggies to snack on.  
  • Saturday I did 40 minutes on the elliptical and 25 minutes of weight lifting.

    Sunday was 60 minutes on the bike and 15 minutes of free weights.

    Last night I did 35 minutes on the elliptical and 25 minutes of weight lifting.

    I'm really happy to see that my endurance has gone up quite a bit. When I first started going back to the gym, 20 minutes on the ellptical took it out of me and I could barely make it to the 20 minute mark. Gonna keep pushing myself!

  • Chrissy- That's exciting!  I'm starting training for a half and I'm really nervous.  Do you follow any type of schedule?  
  • Sunday I did 40 min elliptical trainer work out and 20 mins on the treadmil. Yesterday I had the day off so I went in the afternoon but the gym was PACKED. I did a 40 min hill work out on the treadmill.

    Good news: I'm down 10 LBS!!!!!!

  • I went to the gym for the first time this month. I was proud I managed to get there. I have been making excuses lately. I am going to go tomorrow as well.

    I haven't contributed to this thread before, I hope you don't mind if I dive right in.

    Just thinking about the last couple of days, Saturday I ran for 30 minutes and lifted weights for 20, Sunday I ran for 30 minutes and lifted weights for 20.  I took yesterday off to give my body a rest/let muscles repair themselves.  Today I ran for 40 minutes and lifted weights for 20.
