Workout Accountability: Monday

Good morning, hope everyone had a nice weekend.

I took Friday off even though I planned to workout.  FI and I were driving to my parents for the weekend and I ended up having a ton of stuff to do before we could leave.  I ran 3 miles Saturday morning and then took yesterday off as well.
Our menu tasting was amazing! Everything tasted so good, so I'm definitely going to make sure we get to eat at our reception!

Tonight I will lift and do the elliptical.

  • I didn't have a chance to work out Thursday or Friday.  Saturday I didn't really "exercise," but my MOH and I went shopping for a few hours and it was a lot of walking!  There's some exercise in that at least :)

    Yesterday I ran just shy of 4.5 miles outside.  It was cold and I got a cramp in my side so it was pretty slow going.  Usually, deep/focused breathing helps get rid of them but I have exercise induced asthma and that + cold = not breathing well.  I need to get a little thing to pull over my mouth and nose when my lungs start feeling achey from the cold.  

    heyjude- That's exciting!  I'm glad everything tasted good :)  We are doing our tasting around 3 months out so I have some time, but I'm looking forward to it!

    As for my weekend shenanigans... well I ran 16 miles.  I thought I was going to die.  I thought at least 10 times in the last 3 miles that I wasn't going to be able to finish.  There is NO WAY I can do a marathon... but I stuck it out and even though those last miles were at an 11 min pace- I finished my run!  Then I spent a little quality time with my legs in a bucket of ice water & sipped on some hot chocolate.  I felt soooo much better after that :)
  • I got in a 60 minute work out on Saturday, 40 min elliptical work out and 20 min hills on the treadmil. That was my 3rd day in a row so Sunday was a day off. I didn't sleep well last night so I didn't get up this morning, so hopefully tomorrow I will be back for spin!

  • medic - good job on your run! That's pretty impressive.

    Saturday I did 35 minutes on the elliptical, last night I did 45 minutes on my bike. Tonight I gotta get some weights into the mix to keep up with it.
  • Friday - I didn't go to the gym since I went dress shopping with my friend and I bought my Bridesmaid dress for her wedding.  So, I just did 60 minutes of the Wii Fit Free Step.

    Saturday - I knew I was going to be eating a bunch of snacky food at DH's families house Saturday night, so I made sure I exercised extra hard throughout the day.  I did 30 minutes playing on the wii fit, Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, and then 40 minutes on the elliptical.  I did some weights as well.

    Sunday - I was cleaning the house for most the day, but I did manage to squeeze in 10 minutes on the elliptical. I didn't do to much on the elliptical because I wanted to run some on the treadmill - I did 10 minutes on the treadmill and thought I was going to die.  I used to run almost every single day, but I have totally lost that endurance.  I did some leg weights, as well as some crunches.

  • Saturday: I ran/walked a 5k.

    Today I'm out for a 3 mile run/walk!

  • Spin in the am today, haven't worked out for a few days so I'm starting to get sore already. 
  • I went to the gym on Saturday morning and today after work. We also painted the kitchen and family room which I can feel in my arms.

  • Did a lot of walking on Saturday.  Took Sunday off due to not feeling well.  Today is my day off, I have my internship during the day, and class at night. 

    Tomorrow we're back on for a good workou.  I just like reading all your posts because it's inspiring =)

  • This weekend was kind of a bust for me. I got a pedicure on Friday after school and all day Saturday my big toe on my left foot hurt like hell.

    It felt a little better on Sunday so I did level 3 30DS and a 45-min intermediate Zumba class. My toe was throbbing afterward.

    My toe still hurt today, but the redness seems to be going down. I did 45-min intermediate Zumba class and my legs felt like jell-o.

    I can't believe tomorrow is FEBRUARY! It means I will have done 30DS for 25 days! I never thought I'd make it!

  • Did my assessment with the trainer on Saturday and found out that even at size 4 petite I apparently need to lose body fat.  They tried to sell me on paying for regular personal training but I declined.  I just paid for the two year membership, what's the place trying to do, drain my wallet dry?  (rant over)

    Did legs and 20 minutes on elliptical yesterday, and found out the gym is nice and quiet on Sunday.

    And did abs and 20 minutes on elliptical today.
    Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.
  • Ran 5k on Friday. My gym was closed on Saturday so I did the Insanity fit test. I did Insanity about a year and a half ago, and was happy to see that I hadn't lost much from when I did the fit test after Insanity Day 60. I took the day off on Sunday (haven't taken a day in a few weeks and my body was starting to feel it!)  today I went to a Zumba class. And the gym had a happy hour after the class but I managed to only eat two chips with salsa and less than half a glass of sangria!

    Saturday was Turbokickboxing at the gym. Sunday hot yoga and today at Crossfit class we did squats and cardio stuff (rows, box jumps and push presses). My goal is to firm up my thighs and my booty!
  • Hey guys :) I just started c25k today and I didnt do too bad! I'm looking forward to hopefully running a 5k this spring.

    Hey ladies! This is my first time posting on this thread. But anyway, I'm training for a 1/2 marathon that's in about a month from now. I can run 3-4 miles right now, so I'll have to put in some hard work over the next few weeks to be ready by then. I ran a 1/2 marathon a year ago in 2 hrs 57 mins. I'm hoping to do this one in 2 hrs 40 mins. I ran 3 miles at a pretty good pace on friday and went for a vigorous 2 hr. hike on sunday.
