50 lbs to lose Starting NOW! Want to buddy?

Hey ladies!!

So my wedding isn't for over a year away but I'm doing this now  because I want to be down before even looking for or buying my dress. I know I can do it as I've lost 100 lbs, but unfortunately financial times got tough for a bit and I gained some back. So now it's time for it to come OFF FOR GOOD!!! I'm not doing any weight loss fads or psycho working out. I'm cutting calories and slowly working myself back into working out,

I will be calorie counting as this has always helped me see just what I'm eating and to moderate it.
I'll be walking on my breaks at work and in a couple weeks will start working out again.

I'd love to find some buddies to travel this road with, It's such a great thing to have someone to help hold you accountable as well as to share struggles with, etc. Plus it's always great to be able to show your success!

My goal is to lose 50 lbs and my weekly goal is 2 lbs a week, more would be great!!! I just started today so I hope theres one or two of you who will hop on board :)

  • I've love to buddy up with you!  My goal is also about 50 lbs, and I'm doing WW to lose the weight.

    My wedding (well, we're eloping and then having a reception) will be next summer - August or September. 
  • I'd love to buddy with you too! I want to lose 40-50 lbs. My wedding isn't until 7-7-2012. But I want to lose my weight by July of next year so I have 1 year to look for my dress. I'm going to start the C25K plan and 3 times a week to start I will do the Jillian Micheals videos. I like them because there's 3 levels to choose. I'm also going to eat better, make better conscious eating choices.  Good luck to you. You can do it! You've already lost 100lbs!

    The Jillian M's workouts are a heck of a work out!!! I did them for awhile and built up endurance through them :) The Biggest Loser ones are good too.

    My wedding is 02/12/12. It's a day before we met :)

    Let me know what you ladies think... did you want to check in daily, weekly, every other day? What works best for you? Did you want to share what you ate for that day/worked out for accountability or just simplify it with calorie consumption, time working out and a weigh in weekly?

    Let me know your ideas and we will get this thing started!!

  • I'd be happy to join you as well. I've lost 40 lbs this year so far by doing much what you are planning to do, but have hit a plateau for the last month or so and I'm adding some more exercise and tracking what I'm eating closely so I can see where I need to make more changes in my food.

     I'd like to lose another 40 lbs to get back to where I was when FI and I started dating 5+ years ago, but I'd settle for losing 20 lbs at a minimum.   :) 

    My wedding's 8-11-11 but I've recently ordered my dress and would like to have a significant loss before it arrives some time in April.

  • I'd love to join you also!  I'm not sure exactly how much weight it is that I want to lose but I definitely want to tone up some more!  Plus, I just started working back on the road and I'm TERRIFIED of gaining weight!  I gained about 35 lbs when I started my job and I'm finally back to normal.  My hope is that joing you all will help me make better eating decisions!

    Our wedding isn't until 5-26-2012 but it's going to be on the beach and I want to look fabulous in both my dress and my bathing suit!!!!

  • I would be up for buddying up with you all as well.  I just got engaged and am hoping to have my wedding in June 2011.  I haven't even started looking for a dress yet, but am dreading it.  Let me know what you all want to do.  Going through this together will especially be important since the holidays are coming up!

  • I would love to join too!  I would like to lose 40lbs.  I am getting married 9/24/2011, and am going wedding dress shopping in January.  I am a super stress eater, actually an every emotion eater, and lately I have had no motivation to lose weight.  I could really use some help with motivation to keep me on track.  I really want to be at a healthy weight for my wedding.  Thanks!
  • I would like to buddy up too! I have about 20-30 to lose by May! It has been really hard so far so I would love to be accountable for free (as apposed to WW).

    If you guys want to check in every week that would probably be best (since you should not weigh yourself every day).

    How exciting!! I completely look forward to ALL our successes and I know we can each do it if we are committed to ourselves and helping each other :)

    CROSE: I will look into doing that now and will post with what we can start posting under ladies :)

    I think daily is best for me as it is for some other ladies (NOT weighing daily) but keeping track of caloric intake and exercise. Weigh ins will be weekly and for those that want to just check in weekly thats an option as well :) Whatever we are able to do! I'll make a template we can use to check in daily/weekly.

    Looking forward to getting to know you all and to watch each of our success!

  • I'm in! I want to loose about 25 to 30 lbs and I have about a year also! My wedding date is 11-11-11! I need some motivation and accountability. I start doing well and loose some weight then always seem to fall back into bad habits...i.e. eating what my fiance eats. lol. Im going to start today! So excited!
