Ideas for Children activites during reception

Good afternoon Knotties!

We are having roughly 20-25 children at our wedding.  I have this idea in my head of having a goody box for the kids.  I am clueless about what kind of things to put in them to keep them busy and entertained.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Angie

There are some templetes for Kid's activity books that might work. I thought about putting that with some crayons, pencils, candy, and some other little things I find out the dollar store.

Michael's has this entire aisle called the $1 Aisle or something to that effect.   It is jam packed with coloring books, sticker books, puzzles, crayons, markers, paper dolls.  All sorts of things like that.

I ended up not having any young kids at my wedding, but I had them scoped out just in case.

I had some wedding coloring books, I got the template from another knottie. We are going to have a childrens table with coloring books, crayons, puzzles, small toys, and books. I got most of the stuff from dollar tree

The biggest hits at ours were the glow sticks that would be made into necklaces or whatever and hot wheels.  We also had coloring books and puzzles.  I refrained from stickers because our venue would have a cow if they were put on anything

Older kids like  word searches, mazes, etc. Younger kids will like coloring books. Toddlers can enjoy board books - I found some at Borders for like .99 Make sure they are watched though, so they aren't coloring your table cloths or anything!  Glow sticks are a good idea.

Older kids will also be grateful to help out, such as passing out programs or bubbles, or even being asked to help clean up... even if it's menial they like to feel important.

I'm doing coloring books, puzzles, and games. I'm even thinking of renting a portable DVD player and popping in a movie. I'm thinking hand held PSP for the teenager. It can be an early Christmas gift.
