So you think you like soda?

Think again.

Basically a man found a mouse in his can of Mountain Dew.  Pepsi states that the Mountain Dew should've dissolved the mouse before the man popped the top of his drink.

I'm not a huge soda fan, mainly for mixed drinks, etc... and I have had Mountain Dew, but this is absolutely disgusting and will make me think again before taking a sip!

Re: So you think you like soda?

  • sounds like an urban legend to me. The TOPS of cans, however, should always be washed off before consuming straight from a can because mice/vermin sometimes have access to walking on top of the cans at the factory...so I always give it a quick wipe-down before drinking.

Yeah I have a feeling something fishy is with it because apparently Pepsi "destroyed"  the evidence.  Regardless,  this will help me officially turn down soda in the future which I am semi grateful for ;)

This. I have a very hard time believing Pepsi would issue that statement about one of it's own products. That would be like McDonald's saying "Sure, there's dog sh!t in our burgers, but the heat of the grill cooks all of the germs out of it".

I haven't tried this but it is also listed as an urban myth.
  • Regardless of what is true or false, I thank you for finally giving me the motivation to end my soda addiction!
  • That's disgusting. My (now) Fiance' and I stopped drinking soda about 2 years ago. We both saw results within two weeks. It was amazing. Here's another FYI that I learned from my GYN: Drinkis with caffeine (like soda) can cause crystallizations in your breast tissue.

  • Read more closely. Pepsi is saying IF there were a mouse it WOULD have been a "jelly-like substance". (From acid and other ingredients) But since the man claims the mouse was whole and not "jelly-like", Pepsi believes the man is a liar and therefore they are moving to dismiss the case. They are NOT saying "Yeah, we routinely put mice in Mountain Dew but, hey man, it's 'jelly-like' so it's all good!"
  • I don't know if I believe this or not, but all I know is I really don't want to put anything in my body that dissolves living creatures.  That is obviously a fact considering the statement from Pepsi.
