Getting in Shape

Oh no..the dreaded...

Plateau...I have been the same weight going on 3 weeks now. I wanted to join a Shred class by me it's Mon-Fri 6am-6:50am for 2 weeks- I decided against it after I found out it cost $125 Frown So now I am going to be taking Pilates once a week in addition to my early morning workouts...I just want my pre-baby body/metabolism back Cry

Re: Oh no..the dreaded...

  • I'm at the same point. My body lost most of the baby weight but just stopped with about 10 lbs left and now I've just been floating around there =( FI and I are going to start really working at it tomorrow. Since the engagement we've both gained weight so time to start really getting serious about this!
  • Good luck! You will power through it! n
  • I feel your pain... I've lost 30 lbs so far this year but now every pound I lose seems to be a tooth and nail fight.

I'm thinking about trimming back my calories a wee bit and maybe hitting the gym a couple evenings a week for weight training in addition to my morning swimming workouts.

    Ditto ditto and ditto.

Go back and read the post I made on the Hiearchy of Fatloss (<a href="http://forums.theknot.com/Sites/theknot/Pages/Main.aspx/wedding-boards_getting-shape_heirarchy-of-fat-loss" target="_blank">link</a>).  Chances are you're probably doing the lowest level of fat loss exercise.  Bump up the intensity and start incorporating strength training!
