WW Recipes

So my fiance and I just started WW together and I've been looking for recipes to make for us. There are so many options! Does anyone have any favorites so I have somewhere to start?

Re: WW Recipes

  • HI!  I just started WW as well.  So far I've tried the Blasamic Chicken with Mushrooms with a side of the Roasted Cauliflower with Parmesan cheese and the Asian Turkey Letuce Wraps.  All were very good and the points were already calculated wich makes it so much easier!  Tonight I'm going to make the Broccoli and Sausage Casserole.

    Good luck!

Ditto Skinny Taste - her recipes are delicious. My favorite is this <a href="http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/01/chicken-shiitake-and-wild-rice-soup.html" target="_blank" title="Chicken Shiitake and Wild Rice Soup" rel="nofollow">Chicken Shiitake and Wild Rice soup</a> (clicky). Yum!

  • I love the WW chicken pot pie recipe: http://www.weightwatchers.com/food/rcp/RecipePage.aspx?recipeid=135821

It's hard to eat just one serving size, though, it's so tasty.

  • I recently made the Salmon Persillade with Zesty Mashed Potatoes--my FI said it tasted like a restaurant quality meal. The Italian Pasta and Bean Soup with Sausage was also a hit--very filling and easy. My FI also likes the Cheeseburger Casserole, but I found it to be dry. (click on names for link to recipe)

I like to check out HungryGirl because all of her recipes have the points calculated. She does a lot of "swaps." For instance, last night I made her version of sausage pizza and it was only 7 points. I used Arnold's Sandwich Thins instead of a pita which made the serving size feel bigger. She's also good for snacks if you need a little sugar fix without going crazy.

    SkinnyTaste is good, too!!

  • for the sweet tooth I just made chewy cupcake brownies -- they're not as big as a 'real' cupcake -- but only 2 points.  "frost" them with fat free cool whip and it doesn't bring up the points value!  My new fave for that sweet tooth of mine that never goes away!

Also -- if you like Boca Burger -- there's a really good chili recipe -- not sure if it's on the board though...It's only 1 point for a cup -- great when you've been "bad" through the day but still need dinner!

  • One of my favorites is the Creole-Seasoned Tilapia from the Weight Watchers All Time Favorites Cookbook.  It's super easy and quick (it suggests letting it sit for 30 minutes but I usually skip that).  My (tall, thin) fiance isn't big on what he considers "diet" food (no skim milk and fake sugars!), but he LOVES this recipe.
  • I just made the Beef and Broccoli stir fry last night (it was featured on their app last week, this week you have to search the site for it.) It was amazing. My meat-and-potatos fi not only ate all of the broccoli in his serving, but he didn't believe it was a WW recipe, either! It was 5 points for the beef and brocolli, I added a cup of white rice for another 5, and that was a lot of food!

  • I love skinny taste, and have made many recipes off her site.  Our regular ones are the Asian Turkey Meatballs, Sesame Chicken Tenders, and tonight for dinner with had the Easiest Pasta with Broccoli (or something like that).  I'm sure there are others from there that we make, but the first two are things that my fiance requests almost every week.  From the WW site, I like the 15 minute chili, but I tend to let it simmer for longer and add more heat.  It's great over rice and really filling.
