Blood type diet

I've been posting on here for a while and I've seen lots of questions regarding different types of diets.  I personally do not diet, but my best friend has had much success with a blood type diet.  I haven't seen that mentioned on here, although I may have missed it.  I'm not really sure what this diet entails - she basically explained that it offers different eating habits based on your blood type.  I haven't researched it it, so I don't really understand how it works, but I thought I would mention it on here.  She has been following the blood type diet for several years (as well as working out regularly) and she has lost a pretty large amount of weight (I believe somewhere around 70 lbs).

Like I said, I haven't tried this diet myself, so I can't deny or confirm anything.  But it worked well for my friend.

Atkins and South Beach work for a lot of people in the short term because they are low or no-carb and SB is also low in sugar.  I've heard of the blood type diet and researched it (I'm a ghostwriter for a dieting website), and it's not backed by any significant amount of data.

Most of those fad diets, the Blood Type, Primal/Paleo, and so on have one thing in common -- eat natural foods only, no processed crap.  And really, that's the secret to dieting.  For example, a blood type B like myself would be encouraged to eat low-fat proteins, like fish and lamb, along with low-fat dairy and lots of vegetables while avoiding stress and exercising heavily.  That's actually good advice for anyone, regardless of blood type.

Anyway, didn't mean to rant, but really, to get in shape, just drink water, eat naturally, and work up a sweat!Laughing
