Re: P90X

  • Good luck! But make sure to be kind to your body. I had a friend who was hospitalized from doing P90X, so just be careful.
  • Good luck! I think I am going to buy P90X around Christmas-time.  Keep us updated om your progress!

  • Yes.....please make sure you understand that P90X is for people who are IN SHAPE already and wanting to get into BETTER shape.

I loved it!! I thought it was the best workout program I have ever used but I had some friends who couldn't even make it a week or two because it was too intense unless your already relatively in shape to begin with.

    Good Luck...You will LOVE it!!!
  • I really want to get P90x for Christmas- is it a 90 minute workout or a 90 day workout program (or both?). Has anyone else tried it? What have been your results? It sounds scary! haha

Do you need to buy equiptment to do the workouts?
  • @lovelyness38 - It's a 90-day program. The workouts are usually about an hour, though one is about 90 minutes. I've been doing it for about 6 months and I love it. I did 90 days of the lean program but didn't follow the nutrition guide and still lost 5 pounds and saw huge changes in my muscles. I'm in Phase 1 (first 30 days) of the classic program and have lost another 10 pounds now that I'm following the nutrition guide better. It is definitely tough, but as long as you have the drive to stick with it and just do your best it will work for you. Just don't get hung up on how many reps you can do or how much weight you're lifting. You don't necessarily have to buy any equipment except a yoga mat, but I would strongly advise buying at least a pull-up bar and at least one pair of weights in your range (I started with 5 lbs. and just bought a new heavier pair as I get stronger and I've only bought 4 pairs over 6 months). I also LOVE the recovery drink, but it's totally optional. I would highly recommend at least trying the program. You can always return it within 90 days if you're unhappy. Good luck!
